“ Driving through on the way to Prince George from California. Parents wanted Dairy Queen but I saw Heavy D's along the way. Glad I chose Heavy D's. Got the spicy pulled pork sandwich with onion rings. It was excellent. Pork was tender and juicy. The huge ciabatta roll held up well sopping up all juices. The onion rings were good, I tried the tzatziki sauce with em, I liked it too. Folks in there were very kind. Great service and great food! ”

“ Amazing food, huge portions! Prices are moderate but not cheap - absolutely worth it once you see the portion sizes. Food is cooked to order and the chef is close - he often visists with customers and checks on how the food is received etc. He is very involved, either from behind the window in the kitchen making loud jokes as he puts food up, or out visiting his guests and checking on the food. Kids meal portions are large too, and the kitchen is considerate of getting kids food out as fast as possible. One of our family has Celiac disease and the chef worked with us to identify the best thing he could make for her that was completely gluten free. During our visit he brought out a free sampler of a new dish he is working on - pulled pork stuffed into a pastry and baked, it sort of looks like a chubby taco. One of the most unique restaurants in Quesnel. ”
